AGAIN-ST 4th Exhibition [Sculpture is (not) Ornaments.]

AGAIN-ST is a Japanese sculpture group.
Our mission is to show the possibilities of sculpture.
We feel that the art industry nowadays is going down.
As sculptors, as artists, and as teachers we must show
our successors the possibilities and power of sculpture in
education.
AGAIN-ST has four sculpture members: Motohiro
Tomii, Ayato Fujiwara, Tomotaka Yasui, Soichiro Fukai;
an art curator Takashi Ishizaki; and a designer Asako
Koyama. We have set up this sculpture group to ponder
the meaning of sculpture and what it means to be a sculptor.
Even though we are independent artists, who each
sees the sculpture industry from a different point of view,
and who are usually against belonging to the group, we
nonetheless share the feeling of impending crisis in our
art.
These are the reasons why we created AGAIN-ST.
