1930年代上海のモダンガールのライフスタイル
―女優の日記を基にして ―
1930s Shanghai Modern Girl’s Lifestyle
─Based on the Actress’s Diary ─

本論は1930年代の上海女優である雪映が『電影時報』に連載した「女明星日記」（女優日記）を資料に、モダンガールと称された女性のライフスタイル、生き方を明らかにするものである。
1930年代の上海は、中国の伝統文化に西洋の入り口だった租界を通した西洋文化が加わって、近代的な都市空間が作り上げられていた。それを具現化したのが映画女優や職業女性などのモダンガールたちだった。日記からは、①女優の仕事、②身体表現とファッション、③メディアへの対応、④女優の恋愛と男性関係、⑤金銭感覚、⑥同性愛と結婚観、⑦社会情勢や国家運命に関心を持つことの7つの主題を通して、スクリーン内外での雪映の姿を知ることができる。
雪映は女優としてプライドを見せながら、ハリウッド女優との格差を嘆き、しぶとく生きている。本論は具体的な事例から、1930年代上海の一女優自身の声に焦点を当てて、モダンガール自身が何を「女らしさ」と見ていたのか、また「女らしさ」の表現に旗袍（チャイナドレス）はどのような役割を果たしていたのかなどを考察する。

This paper considers what a modern girl’s lifestyle was like, by looking at her “Diary” which appeared in a Shanghai magazine in the 1930s.
Shanghai in the 1930s created a modern urban space by adding Western ideas and thoughts to the Chinese tradition through the concessions.
It was modern girls such as movie actresses and professional women who made Chinese people realize what outside world looked like and how people there lead their lives.
In the diary, it would be possible to read how one girl lived as an actress in Shanghai of its 1930s, what kind of social relations she had with people around her, what kind of perceptions she had about her own marriage and fortunes brought to her through her career, and what kind of attitudes she developed towards social and political situations in China at that time.
Being a professional actress, she grieves also the gap between Chinese and Hollywood actresses. This paper focuses on the voice of an actress in Shanghai in the 1930s. What the modern girl saw as “femininity”, and the expression of “femininity”, and considers what role cheongsam played in her lifetime.
