 地方活性化、ウェルビーイング、生産性向上、ワーカーの人脈形成などから多方面からワーケーションが注目されている。ワーケーションの推進のためには、テレワークの普及、裁量労働に類似する働き方の普及、ワーケーション施設等のハード整備、さらには受け入れもてなす側のワーケーションプログラム提供者のソフト開発などが求められる。

一方でワーケーション施設整備やソフト整備のための条件等について議論がされていない。また、ICTの進展、人々のSNSの使い方や働き方の変化などを大きなトレンドでワーケーションを捉えることが、その条件を検討する上で重要になる

本稿では、その結論として、長期休暇を前提とするワーケーションではワーケーション地までの移動時間を長く取れることにより、これまで大都市圏から観光地として認知されてこなかった地であってもワーケーション地としてPR,できる。つまり、ワーケーションの地そとして場所を選ばないことを指摘するととともに、整備に当たってはその地の特徴を活かすこと、また整備すべきハード施設、提供するソフトサービスの留意点を考察した。

 

Workcation is gaining attention from various perspectives, including regional revitalization, well-being, productivity improvement, and the formation of networks among workers. To promote workcation, it is necessary to popularize teleworking, spread working styles similar to discretionary labor, develop the infrastructure such as workcation facilities, and also enhance the software aspect, such as developing workcation programs provided by the hosts.

On the other hand, there has been no discussion on the conditions necessary for the development of workcation facilities and the improvement of software aspects. Moreover, considering workcation in the context of major trends such as the advancement of ICT, changes in how people use social media, and shifts in working styles, is crucial for examining these conditions.

Workcation, which are based on long vacations, requires a long time to travel to the destination, so places far from metropolitan areas have not been recognized as a tourist destination. These kinds of places are suitable for workcations. This paper points out that any location can be used as a workcation location, and also considers the need to take advantage of the characteristics of the location as well as considerations for the physical facilities and the soft services.
