About “Function” that ‘Plate’ has in potential and “Characteristic”

This contribution work is the one exhibited in
「BANDED BLUE」(place:Tsuruoka Art Forum
period:2005/9/16~10/2).
The work is composed of three parts.
1. 「One hundred prints from one plate」
40.0×30.0cm 100pieces 2005
etching, aquatint, dry point, on ganpi paper
2. 「Onehundred traces on one plate」
40.0×30.0cm 100pieces 2005
etching, aquatint, dry point, on ganpi paper
3. 「Onehundred expressions from one stroke」

aquatint, rubbing with pencil on ganpi paper

These works were produced based on a private
doubt to the ideal way of this print of 20 years
of a technological overemphasis to aim at the
reproduction of the chart imaged image that
graphic artists requested when the print was
produced mainly.
The purpose is the one that “Function”
that ‘Plate’ originally has in potential and
“Characteristic” are reconfirmed before the print
is completed as a picture.

It produced in the copper engraving the subject
of the above-mentioned three points.
