TOHOKU Region (North Eastern area of Japan) is
known for both their materials and the high levels
of craftsmanship，these skills have been shared
within the community for a number of years. The
constant advances made in both the development
of materials and technologies is creating a growing
and rich foundation. In such unique circumstances，
we are researching and developing new concepts
for design that is focused on the use of materials
through craftsmanship.
For the first project，we would like to introduce
“MAGEWAPPA of ODATE” in the main chapter.
This project is subsidised by The Japan Architectural
Education and Information Center in 2001 and
by Tohoku University of Art and Design in 2002.
