In archaeological sites，t he soil profiles are very
important to characterize the archaeological site.
The soil film-monolith can show the data of soil profiles
more realistically than plans or photos. Its
data is useful for the archaeology and conservation
of historical heritage.
In the Archaeological site “CASA BLANCA，
Chalchuapa” Republic of El Salvador，
Archaeological work is carried out .Some mound of
pyramids and farmer communities were excavated.
They are from the Pre-Classic Period to Classic
Period. And the layer of volcanic ash from the eruption
of Volcano Iropango was discovered by the investigation.
At that time，w e took the soil film-monolith and
exhibit it to the museum of the archaeological site.
Also we taught the techniques of soil film-monolith
to the archaeologists and students in El Salvador.
