Advancements in transportation and information networks
have contributed to rapid globalization in the international
community. As evident in the introduction of Europe’s new
currency，the new Euro，this trend is only likely to accelerate.
The field of art is no exception. Artists around the world are now
looking beyond the constraints of history and tradition to
develop a new common language with a “modern” theme.In the
process，they are searching for new challenges and exploring
new possibilities and modes of expression. In this day and age of
free-flowing information， even aesthetics and artistic
expression are taking on a new global dimension. In any age，
however，it is important that expression retain a certain degree of
originality. This means that art is continuously in the process of
coming together to find a common denominator then breaking
off to create something new.
A new concept in art，referred to as “environment art.”has
recently emerged on the scene. In general terms, the word
environment can apply to everything from the ecology to our
daily living environment or even to the world of information.
The environment with which I am concerned. howevre, is that of
the genre of “Iandscape art.” This is because the landscape
genre，by nature ofit being closely entwined with nature and the
climates，is able to offer those qualities unique to each region，
which are so sought after during the current trend toward
globalization.
