この研究の目的は、ノンエリート若者の移行支援において媒介的コミュニティがどのような役割を果たしているのかを明らかにすることである。
検討の結果、媒介コミュニティは、困難を抱える人びとの多元的移行を支えるものであることがわかった。同時に、それが地域の社会統合の基盤をつくりだすものであることもわかった
検討は、若者の居場所づくり実践の事例をもとに行われた。そこでは、ノンエリート若者のための媒介コミュニティを特徴づける二つの知見が得られた。
第一に、そこで若者たちは、選択縁を介して複数のコミュニティへの並行的なアクセスを獲得しており、それらが一種のポートフォリオとして彼らの生を支える資源のネットワークとなっていた。これが社会標準とは異なる第二標準の移行の実態である。
第二に、居場所づくり実践は、さまざまな地域資源と共同で、多様な出会いのある支援空間を構築しており、それが若者たちの多元的な移行を支える環境となっていた。
これらの知見をもとに、困難を抱える若者たちのためのさまざまな媒介的コミュニティの創出や整備が行われていくことが望まれる。

The purpose of this study is to clarify the role of intermediary communities in supporting the transition of non-elite youth.
As a result of the examination, it was found that the intermediary community supports the multidimensional transition of people in difficulty. At the same time, it was found that it creates the foundation for regional social integration.
The study was based on the practice of place-making for young people. There are two findings that characterize the intermediary community for non-elite youth.
First, there young people gained parallel access to multiple communities through choices, which became a kind of portfolio of resources that underpin their lives. This is the reality of the transition of the second standard, which is different from the social standard.
Secondly, the place-making practice has created a support space with diverse encounters in collaboration with various local resources, which has become an environment that supports the multidimensional transition of young people.
Based on these findings, it is hoped that various intermediary communities will be created and developed for young people with difficulties.
