山形県内の人口当たりのコワーキングスペース数は東京都には及ばないものの、宮城県や大阪府と同等の数になっている。多くが県内の行政が設置したもので、行政の期待が高いことが伺える。コワーキングスペースから期待される産業の高度化、新規事業開発、起業、さらには関係人口強化、移住促進などへの期待からであることがわかった。場所を選ばない働き方としてのテレワークの普及、情報産業の高度化などからコワーキングスペースがさらに設置される期待が高まっているが、これらの成果を得るには、コワーキングスペースの運営者のノウハウの蓄積が必要で、ノウハウの研究蓄積が求められる。

Although the number of coworking spaces per capita in Yamagata prefecture is less than that of Tokyo, it is the same as that of Miyagi prefecture and Osaka prefecture. Most of them were set up by the government in the prefecture, and it can be seen that the expectations of the government are high. It was found that this was due to expectations for industrial sophistication, new business development, entrepreneurship, strengthening of related populations, and promotion of migration, which are expected from coworking spaces. Expectations are rising that more coworking spaces will be set up due to the spread of teleworking as a work style that can be used anywhere and the sophistication of the information industry. It is necessary to accumulate information, and research and accumulation of know-how is required.
